We can help! A pre-employment screen is most effective if job specific tasks are assessed, rather than a ‘one size fits all’ assessment. We have developed a range of pre-employment screens for a number of local company in cooperation with their respective safety managers. By performing a functional and physical job analysis we determine what physical and functional demands the employee has to meet. We can also conduct specific pre-employment screens developed by employer.
During the pre-employment musculoskeletal screen we assess physical and functional tasks for the role the applicant is applying for. This enables us to gain insight into the functional capacity of the applicant and identify possible barriers.
Functional tasks can involve lifting, reaching, prolonged stooped position, pushing/pulling, going up and down stairs, just to name a couple of examples.
